Accommodation

When thinking about where to stay I had a few things in mind.

  • How much travelling will we have to do by car? We are taking Sam’s special needs carseat but it’s bulky and what will we do with it whe we arrive anywhere? Best to stay somewhere that has lots of facilities close by.
  • Has it got a kitchen? My friend suggested we stay at the resort hotel which is a beautiful spot but we would have been reliant on all Sam’s food being prepared by the hotel kitchen. Sam has such incredible trouble with his digestiona and eats a plain and entirely smooth pureed diet so it is really important that I am able to control that. For this reason it is much easier and less stressful for me to prepare it all myself.
  • Has it got a washing machine? Not a question that the average traveller concerns themselves with I’m sure but due to Sam’s reflux he uses many bibs and towels on a daily basis. At home our Mum does an average of 5-6 loads of washing per day!

Rebecca showed me around the Oasis Beach Tower apartments, they were ideal for us. I took photos of the kitchen and laundry area to show Mum and Dad once I got home, not your usual holiday snaps but an important part of making this trip a success for Sam.
